Jordan received some "really good news." The Blanchard's that he helped teach in Innisfail were baptized last Saturday. His comment was: "It's way cool to know that I helped them find the church and come to the gospel!"
In other news about missionary work he writes: we have a new investigator in High Prairie that is very promising. She is a friend of one of the members and is very interested. She talks a lot about the church. She is very nice and is very interested in the gospel. She has a lot of parallel beliefs and experiences that point towards the church as the true church. Hopefully I don't leave before she is baptized.
The letter was short and sweet because he had a mission conference on Wednesday.

SEPTEMBER 17, 2009
Jordan had a dream about visiting with a missionary in the Salt Lake City North Mission. Of course this was AFTER he had come home from a successful and honorable mission. He thought it was Josh Price, but it has turned out to be Daniel Rosenbaum, a friend from Pennsylvania. Daniel enters the MTC on September 30 and has been called to the Salt Lake City North Mission.
The missionary work this week has changed, due to the asking of president Rhodes. he has asked us to work with members and less actives rather than trying to do tracting or things like that. Tracting in this town is pretty much useless, especially since my companion has been here for 10 1/2 months. One of our investigators, Evelyn has kind of disappeared. We haven't been able to meet with her since we asked for a baptismal commitment. We have also lost contact with Jeremy, but hope to get his member friend who introduced us to help us get back in contact and start teaching him again. We fear he might have come across some anti-Mormon literature. Maybe he is waiting to get some questions answered by his friend rather than us. In any case I hope we can see him again.
Elder Roberts and I live in a basement apartment, but we don't have a stove. If we fill like baking we have to go to the church. Missionary life is great.

SEPTEMBER 10, 2009
This week for missionary work was about the same as the last, nothing exciting happened. Vicky came to church. We gave a lesson to Jeremy, another investigator. he's been doing pretty well since we first made contact with him a few weeks ago. He's been reading about a chapter a night from the Book of Mormon. I'm going to write a letter to the Blanchard's soon in Innisfail to find out their baptism date and give them encouragement.
I really miss going to the temple. It is a great thing to enjoy. I'm just out in the middle of nowhere. I might be able to go in a few weeks when we go down for the mission tour, but that might be it unless I get invited to another big mission conference where all the missionaries come together in Edmonton.
My companion, Elder Roberts has 42 days left in the mission field. I'll be his companion for that time. Nothing changed in my zone on transfer call day, Monday, except the sister missionaries that were in Grande Prairie got moved.
