November 12, 2009

Canada had Remembrance Day, like our Veterans day on November 11th. Jordan and his companion were in Grande Prairie the next day to e-mail. He reported that the one contact they had been trying to get hold of, Chantel, just keeps giving them excuses to not meet. There are four missionaries in his district, he and Elder Anderson and Elders Faber and Hamblin. The snow had melted. He hoped to get some service done before it snowed again.

We received some snow in the last couple of days. I think it will stick around for a while. It's been pretty cold here in the Great White North. Things could always be worse though, of that I've been assured.

Things are going okay here I guess. We are trying to reign in the kilometers that we use each day. It was exceedingly high the last few months since the truck went to High Prairie. So we have been doing a lot more walking recently. The work has been slow in and of itself because we are walking, for one, and too many people are just content with what they already have. They also don't want help from others for the most part. It's hard to see people like this. I'm sure it's similar in the states or anywhere in the world. I think things are better in Utah because people usually open up more mainly due to the Spirit being so much more active there. We do all we can, but we can't force the people to listen or accept.
